An all-cloth doll
that depicts old collectible dolls that were made from porcelain
or composition, combined with cloth or leather. This doll
features my exclusive "Cloth Shoulderplate" construction
method. It's really easy and fun to do. This method will give
new dimension to your cloth dollmaking.
"Mary"...about
22" tall. Mary is a reproduction in cloth of an old porcelain
doll that had a porcelain head and shoulderplate. Her lower
arms and legs were made of composition. The body of the old
doll was kid leather. You can duplicate the lovely antique
look with a combination of firm knit fabric and muslin or
imitation leather. Mary has fingers and "swing" arms and legs.
Her beautiful face radiates the look of the old antiques.
Make yarn hair or put a real doll wig on Mary for a showpiece
collectible. Patterns for a lovely drop waisted dress, slip,
pantaloons, stockings and shoes are included.
